Applications on plain paper with complete bio-data including recent passport size photograph and recent contact number along with self-attested photocopies of candidate’s professional certificates, are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow to work in research project titled “GENERATION OF GEO SPATIAL DATABASE ON LAND AND TOPOGRAPHY FOR HYDROLOGICAL ANALYSIS” under “Bio-Geo, Marine & Environmental Databases based on Geospatial Technologies (GT) programme of NRDMS”; sanction order no. NRDMS/11/1363/07, Dated 15.10.2008; sponsored by DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY. The application completed in all respects should reach to: Principal Investigator Dr S. K. Patnaik, Assoc Professor, Department of Geography, Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh, 791112 on or before 20 December, 2011, 5 PM. The envelope should be super scribed as “Application for the post of Junior Research Fellow in the Project: GENERATION OF GEO SPATIAL DATABASE ON LAND AND TOPOGRAPHY FOR HYDROLOGICAL ANALYSIS”. The positions are purely temporary and will be governed by the Administrative rules/service conditions of DST and RGU.

Qualifications :          JRF:M.A./M.Sc. in Geography, Geoinformatics, Geology with minimum of 60% marks OR M. Tech. in Geoinfoamatics /RS & GIS with 55% marks.

All candidates are desired to be proficient in Terrain Analysis, Remote Sensing and GIS.

Fellowship :

1.       One JRF Rs 12000/-  for first 2 years,

Other Benefits:

1.       15% HRA  for JRF

2.       Eligible JRF candidate may be entitled to register for Ph.D. Program of the University.

3.       Leave and other benefits may be available as per the applicable rules for project staff.

Age Limit :                 Maximum 28 years on October 01, 2011

Project Duration :     Till May 2013.

Note:

(i)                   No TA/DA will be paid for their appearing in the interview.
